Assistant Professor, School of Social Work, York University

Jake Pyne (he/him) is an Assistant Professor in the York University School of Social Work. Before moving to academia, Jake spent 20 years working in a range of advocacy and research roles alongside exceptionally dedicated colleagues in Toronto's trans community. Jake's research draws on the fields of trans studies, critical disability studies, critical autism studies, fat studies, and queer of colour critique, and his current work explores the intersection of trans and autistic life.
