    Janice Du Mont is a senior scientist at Women's College Research Institute, Women’s College Hospital and professor in the Dalla Lana School of Public Health at the University of Toronto. She is a recognized leader internationally in research focused on gender-based violence, particularly in the context of those who are structurally marginalized.

    Daisy works as a research associate for the Ontario Network of Sexual Assault/Domestic Violence Treatment Centres.   • Prince George Sexual Assault Centre

    Provides counselling and support services in a safe and supportive environment for individuals, families, and groups. Provides educational and support groups for survivors, as well as community work and outreach such as training services. Is the only sexual assault help centre north of Kamloops.

  • Robson Valley Community Services

    Works on strengthening all individuals, families, and communities by providing diverse programs and services, and by collaborating within a rural environment.

  • Salal Sexual Violence Support Centre

    The largest rape crisis centre in the BC provides support services to gender diverse and Indigenous sexual assault survivors who have shared experiences of gender marginalization (i.e., cis women and TGD people). Also provides community education and training.

  • Shuswap Area Family Emergency Society

    Provides safe, nonjudgmental services, including transitional housing, sexual assault support services, victim services, outreach, and community counselling related to intimate partner violence and other forms of abuse.

    Simon Fraser is one of the biggest universities in West Coast Canada and is at the forefront of innovative and solution-driven research. Dr. Schuurman’s work has assisted policy makers and service providers in making evidence-based decisions to improve the accessibility of health and other types of services (incl. for trauma survivors).

  • Victoria Sexual Assault Centre

    Under a feminist lens, works to end sexualized violence through healing, education, and prevention, with programs supporting sexual assault survivors including counselling, advocacy, and empowerment. Provides gender-inclusive care through individual crisis support services and a sexual assault response team (SART).

    Mount Royal University (MRU) is an undergraduate institution located in Calgary with an emphasis on community development and social wellbeing. Dr. Cathy Carter-Snell has extensive experience in curriculum development and supervises students from both MRU and University of Calgary.

    Creates an equitable integrated health care system for gender and sexual minorities, including training providers in trans-affirming care.

  • Fondation Marie-Vincent

    Supports children and adolescents who are victims of sexual violence by advocating for their needs and working to minimize service gaps by ensuring access.   • ENSEMBLE Moncton

    Dalhousie is one of Canada’s leading research-intensive universities. Dr. Alexa Yakubovich’s interdisciplinary research program advances structural understandings of interpersonal violence and related health inequities, with a particular focus on intimate partner violence.

  • Pride Health, Nova Scotia Health Authority

    Works to improve access to safe, coordinated, comprehensive primary health care for 2SLGBTQIA+ individuals by providing mental health, addictions, and trans-affirming care, as well as sexually transmitted and blood borne infection testing and treatment, referrals to community resources, and educational programming.

  • Youth Project

    Provides support and services to youth 25 and under around issues of sexual orientation and gender identity. Focuses on the safety and health of LGBTQ2S+ youth through education and community development.

  • P.E.E.R.S Alliance

    Supports those living with and at risk for HIV, Hep C, and all sexually transmitted infections in PEI by offering a variety of programs and services targeted to diverse communities and using diverse strategies to engage with audiences on sexual health, harm reduction, sexual orientation, and gender identity

  • PEI Rape & Sexual Assault Crisis Centre:

    Provides a range of support services for all sexual assault survivors including trauma therapy groups for indigenous, BIPOC, and 2SLGBTQ+ survivors, as well as community education and advocacy on sexual assault.

  • End Sexual Violence NL

    Leads the province in supporting all sexual assault survivors through empowerment, advocacy, and awareness initiatives such as accompaniment programs, safe harbour outreach, legal support, and a 24-hour information and support line.

  • Planned Parenthood Newfoundland & Labrador Sexual Health Centre

    Promotes positive sexual health and facilitates LGBTQ2S+ inclusion through education, community partnerships, information, and services within an environment that supports and respects individual choice.

    A private-sector organization that supports policy change and provides counselling to persons across Yukon, including those who are trans.

  • Queer Yukon Society

    Supports, promotes, and organizes events and safe spaces for the LGBTQ2S+ community and allies. Provides workshops, programs, and community conventions on topics including gender-based violence, housing insecurity, and gender marker/name changing.

  • Sexualized Assault Response Team, Government of Yukon

    An initiative of the Yukon government that provides health provider training and a network of services for sexual assault survivors, including LGBTQ2S+ and Yukon First Nations people.

  • Northern Mosaic
