Dr. JJ Wright (she/they) is an Assistant Professor of Sociology and Gender Studies at MacEwan University. She is an emerging international leader in strengths-based approaches to gender-based violence and 2SLGBTQ+ justice, examining both violence and the power of queer joy to resist the interlocking systems of oppression that perpetuate it.
